Andrew has a BSc (Hons) Rural Enterprise and Land Management, is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers.
He is presently the Estate Manager for Buccleuch Estate’s Bowhill Estate, near Selkirk consisting of approximately 250 houses and 45 farms as well as other Estate enterprises and is also the BHA Health and Safety Champion.

Andrew Watson – Convener
Andrew is a Partner with QMPF LLP, an Edinburgh based corporate advisory business which focusses on the education, infrastructure and renewables sectors.
He provides strategic financial advice to private and public sector organisations, arranging funding for capital investment and analysing business cases.
He graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a B.Com (Hons) in 1981.
Andrew has been on the Board since February 2008 and was elected Convener in September 2015
David is currently employed as an Assistant Neighbourhood Manager with Scottish Borders Council.
Until recently, David was a tenant of BHA and continues to ensure that tenants’ views are represented.
David has been on the Board since September 2000
Bob is one of our tenants and lives in Coldstream after settling there following a military career as a musician and many other jobs in between. He has worked extensively in many areas including construction, driving and driving instruction.
He was Chair of the Coldstream Community Theatre Group and also Chair of the Berwickshire Tenants Panel. Bob was pivotal in establishing it as a group which is now growing steadily. Bob is currently Vice President of The Hirsel Golf Club, Coldstream and Vice President of the Border Golfers Association.

Jim has been a Scottish Borders Council (SBC) member for East Berwickshire for the past 9 years.
He is currently portfolio holder for Transport and Infrastructure, this includes roads and winter maintenance as well as bridges and any building project. He is also on the SBC Planning Committee and local review bodies.
Jim has qualifications in agriculture and is a Self-employed farmer.
Jim has been on the Board since September 2003.
Scott Holmes – Vice Convener
Scott is a partner in Johnston Carmichael’s Edinburgh office and leads their Financial Services Group. He has extensive experience in internal and external audit and advises a portfolio of owner managed businesses, including several group audits, and undertakes reporting assignments under both local and international financial reporting standards.
Scott has 20 years’ experience in financial services audit and assurance assignments and has significant experience of regulatory reporting in the Financial Services sector.
Scott has been acting as an advisor to our Finance Committee since November 2012 before joining the Board in March 2014. Scott was elected Vice Convener in September 2015
Trevor is a Member of the Institute of Consulting and a Fellow of the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management.
Trevor has more than 25 years’ experience in National and International business management. He now engages in voluntary work for both the Prince’s Trust and the Port of Berwick Trust.
A father and grandfather, his hobbies include dog training, gardening and DIY .Self-motivated and very enthusiastic he wants to make a difference and provide people and communities with a wealthier and fairer way of life.
Trevor has been on the Board since September 2009.
Lorraine Tait – Vice Convener
Lorraine has a degree in Business & Enterprise, holds Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and Fellowship of the Chartered Management Institute.
Lorraine has 22 years’ experience in housing associations, having worked with both Eildon Housing and Port of Leith Housing Associations across a range of posts in finance, HR and corporate services from 1989 to 2011.
She is currently Trust Manager for a grant funding charity, The Weir Charitable Trust. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, Lorraine is responsible for all aspects of the Trust operations.
Lorraine was co-opted to the Board in February 2016
Fraser is Chief Executive of Social Enterprise Scotland. Fraser’s career benefits from private, public and third sector experience and includes over 20 years working in economic regeneration.
Fraser and his family moved to the Scottish Borders 5 years ago, a move which he describes this as the best decision the family have ever made.
From 2004-2011 Fraser held the post of Chief Executive with Castlemilk Economic Development Agency and Glasgow South East Regeneration Agency Ltd and, prior to that, he worked as Head of Economic Development with Inverclyde Council. Fraser is a Board member of Resilient Scotland and is also chair of the Resilient Investment Panel.
His favourite track of all time remains Born Slippy by Underworld.
