Care Home Manager - Seton Care

Seton Care is a highly regarded provider of care and support services across North Northumberland and Berwickshire in the Scottish Borders. We provide a range of services including the provision of residential care.

Our current Care Home Manager (Shirley) is retiring after 25 years at Seton Hall and we are seeking her replacement. This will be a challenging job for the successful applicant. You will be responsible for the management of our existing 47 bedded home and Day Care service and in ensuring that it retains its current top gradings from both CQC and Northumberland Care Trust.

Still interested? You will also have a unique opportunity to play an integral part in the design of, and transfer of services to, our new purpose built home which will provide nursing as well as residential care.

Community Support Workers - Seton Care

Hourly rate £6.44 (with a premium rate for unsocial hours working). Salary currently under review.

Seton Care is an established provider of care and support services throughout North Northumberland and Berwickshire with offices in Berwick-Upon-Tweed and Duns.

Due to increasing demand we are currently recruiting new staff to join our team of Community Support Workers. Your role will enable our clients to live independently in their own homes. The kind of tasks you may be asked to undertake are varied and include personal care (assisting with bathing, dressing etc), shopping, respite services and meal preparation.

Experience although preferable is not essential as a full induction and training programme is provided.

With a full driving licence, you will have access to a car. You must be available to work either in the early mornings (from 7am) or in the late evenings (up to 10pm) and to wok alternate weekends as required. Part time and full time hours are available.

We are currently under represented by male support workers and are trying to address this issue although we still wish to recruit female applicants.

Board Members
Berwickshire Housing Association & Seton Care Ltd.

The BHA Group Consists of Berwickshire Housing Association and three subsidiaries. The Association has just achieved charitable status and is now seeking new Board Members to augment the Board’s existing skills set and expertise to assist in the running of the Association and its care subsidiary Seton Care Limited. The Group provide affordable housing and related services throughout Berwickshire and care services in North Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.

Eligibility: Enthusiasts with a diverse range of backgrounds from all sections of the community with the necessary skills and experience in areas such as finance, asset management, governance, community care and social enterprise. The Association is keen to recruit new Board members who are currently our tenants.

Rewards: Out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed. Above all, we want open, fair-minded individuals who want to help others and who value participation over reward. As a Board Member, you will be responsible with others, for providing the strategic leadership and direction of the Association, and be involved with the planning, governance, monitoring and control of the delivery of services to our tenants and service users. The Board works closely with the senior staff team to achieve these aims. Attendance is required at approximately 10 evening meetings (4 quarterly day time meetings for Seton Care) most of which are held in the Association’s head office in Duns throughout the year.
